These MEN, frankly, fear, resent, and are insulted by the "lesbian awakening" trying to happen, resulting in rising female bisexuality, for example, and will do anything to stop it. Their male ego is bruised and so they fall back on the patriarchy and all the familiar cliches, quote the "good book," belittle, deride, patronize, whatever, to slam on the brakes. It's harmful to both male and female. My wife is joining a site to date ladies, and that's great, we'll both be happier knowing she's not repressed and deprived of her rightful needs. Women are more sexual (when it comes right down to it) and men can't keep and are comparatively lousy lovers anyway! Why? Because! She wants women in her life too! Ironic? You bet. So we're supposed to buy into bullshit? Not us. I say go for it.
