Whether it's already been posted here or not, this is a great vintage movie of the 1970s. Very good quality and resolution. Thanx 'fabrice70' for posting such a gem. The late John Leslie (the Sultan) saved his effort to the last scene, which was short and lovely. Wonderful guest appearances by 70s porn stalwarts Paul Thomas (the Prince), Herschel Savage (who shagged the Sultana in the beginning) and Joey Civera. Now, some historical trivia: 1001 Nights is a classic Arabic book, the events of which are based in Baghdad (Iraq). There was mention in this film of Sinbad the Sailor, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, and of course Aladin. These characters were featured in numerous Hollywood pictures and cartoons. There was no such thing as Sultan or Sultana in the original book. It was King Shahrayar (here wrongly given the name Sultan Khan). I suppose the filmmakers thought that Shahrayar would be a hard name to pronounce. The book is banned in Saudi Arabia and other conservative Islamic countries, up to now, because of its sexual contents in some chapters, although the majority of Scheherazade's tales are about adventures in wonderlands, with no sex at all. The book has been translated into many languages, including English. If you are interested, have a go at it. It's fascinating. Nice to hear the symphony Scheherezade playing in the background of many scenes in the film. This masterful epic work of music was composed by the great Russian maestro Rimsky Korsakov in 1888. Before I sign off, Annette Haven was lovely as Scheherezade.
