Yeah, that's Ken but I'm not sure they were married at the time of this loop. Though I know this is shot on Super 8, I'm unclear about the time frame - probably 1977-1978, judging by her hair and make up. This might have been a clip they sent into Cal Vista or Cabarello. The camera work is definitely amateurish.

Seka and Ken wandered around LA for a couple of years as she did club work without much acclaim. It wasn't until she came to SF and connected with Jim South that she made her grand entrance into adult films. He sent her to a woman who owned a theater in the Mission District and she glammed her up a bit.

In 1979, she shot Olympic Fever, Heavenly Desire, and Ultraflesh (rel. in 1980). And then she hit the stripper circuit, making (I am told and I believe it) $5,000 a week - unheard of at that time for circuit strippers.

When she came back, Ken was gone and she was queen of the industry. I never had a problem with her but most other women could not stand her, with the possible exception of Serena. She was a bit of a prima donna.

I've heard her say in recent years that she left in the early 90s because of AIDS but the truth is that her career was relatively brief and was fizzling out for years. No one made much money back then in films. It was always a stepping stone to club work and the circuit. And so Seka would hit the road and then come back and do a few movies to keep the name recognition. Then go back on the road.

I never knew her well but I knew enough about her to respect her intelligence. She did a pretty good job managing her career and held onto her iconic status so that she continues to make a bit if money off her persona and name.

Adore Seka especially vintage Seka, though she was great in American Garter (her comeback film) too. ;)

Have no idea if it's honestly true? But heard years ago that's Seka's real-life husband.
