From the sound track, which was an R and B style of the times, and not Jazz as some mistakenly said, the hairstyles and the grammer of the film reveals that this is from the early to middle 1960s. Back then you had to infer hardcore action or the theater managers would find themselves in jail if there was right out "hardcore". In those days it was usual for the film to go right to the edge of legality and stop.
