I have found that an electric shaver with Williams Lectric Shave applied first works real well. Gets you nice and smmoth with no bumps or scrapes.

Why get such bumps and cause irritation by shaving. Yeah you were able to keep ur balls firm which may have helped the process but trimming would do equal good.
